Your mission 

By joining the Ferrer R&D team, within the R&D Portfolio Management Department, your mission will be to contribute to make Ferrer’s portfolio strategic, efficient and sustainable.

In your role you will report to the R&D Portfolio Management Director.

You will play a pivotal role in developing value driver strategies for Portfolio Management at a global level with high visibility and impact, identifying interdependencies between multiple initiatives/projects as well as supporting program management of key critical initiatives.

The role includes management of pharmaceutical R&D projects and support to New Product Planning. This position will interact with almost all company departments in multidisciplinary team’s matrix organization and will be accountable for Project and Portfolio Performance.

 

Responsibilities

  • You will manage programs/projects prioritization, in order to reallocate efforts when needed.
  • You will help in R&D investment’s decision-making to guarantee future portfolio sustainability and implement KPIs to measure Portfolio performance.
  • You will provide an early and objective view of the unmet needs, target product profile, market potential, competitive landscape and commercial risks associated with pipeline assets.
  • You will contribute to improve established New Product Planning methods and processes.
  • You will manage R&D Projects translating project strategy into scope, timelines, milestones, risks and costs. You will pro-actively monitor project performance, identify risks associated to assigned projects, define contingency plan and report status of assigned projects to the Development Committee and other functional responsible (i.e. key internal and external stakeholders)

Requirements

What you’ll need to succeed 

 

You will rock at this company if you are a person with empathy, humility, curiosity and optimism.

You will rock at this role if you match with:

  • Education:
      • Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Life Sciences, PhD recommended
  • Experience and technical skills:
      • +3-5 years of relevant work experience in R&D in healthcare or life science industry
      • Work experience in Project Management, Portfolio Management and New Product Planning
      • Understanding of the drug development process (i.e. Pharmaceutical Development, Clinical Research, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, etc…)
  • Competencies(soft):
      • Innovative and critical thinker
      • Team player able to foster collaborative environments
      • Transparent communication and influencing skills
      • Sensitivity and knowledge of cultural differences
  • Languages: Very good knowledge of English language
