Job description

The Corporate Pricing Manager (CPM) is responsible for setting the pricing strategy and ensuring local implementation, thus development or redesign of processes, tools and governance structures will also be required. The role has a global scope and takes care of products both in development and marketed. For this purpose, the CPM will work closely with the Corporate Market Access Manager and as an integrated core function of the Global Brand teams, interacting also with Development teams as well as Local teams.  To be successful, the CPM must be able to work in a matrix setting, have analytical and organizational skills, together with the capacity to drive the execution of the strategy and influence its peers and local teams.

The position will report to the Global Director of Market Access and Pricing, part of the Corporate Marketing, Market Access and BD Department.

What will the role do

  • Together with the Market Access Manager develop the global Market Access strategy for the products under its responsibility, and specifically the pricing strategy.
  • Conduct pricing, payer and market access research to inform product development as well as post-launch products lifecycle management.
  • For products pre-launch, develop the launch sequence, proposing optimal list and net prices to achieve appropriate access and drive execution across the globe.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Market Access Manager in the development of the product value propositions and messages in line with the overall product value strategy.
  • Review, support and approve local Pricing & Reimbursement submissions and price changes.
  • Develop contracting guidance and tools to optimise local negotiations. Provide training & support to local parties to execute contracting options and negotiations.
  • Post-launch, develop lifecycle management pricing and reimbursement strategies, including price maintenance strategies. Monitor & report price changes, generating pricing maps and challenge responsible parties to achieve appropriate price developments.
  • Design and implementation of pricing processes, tools and governance structures. Champion pricing as core commercial discipline and push for continuous development.
  • Monitor and analyze Health Care Environment trends and competitive landscapes in order to inform the market access strategy.
  • Participate in wider cross-functional projects to ensure cross-fertilization and collaboration among different areas and horizontal growth.

Requirements

  • Life Sciences, Economics or Engineer degree with specialization in Pricing.
  • Minimum 5-year experience in Pricing and Market Access in the pharma sector.
  • Global role or knowledge of pricing requirements in different geographies desirable.
  • High ability to drive and implement, handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to negotiate at all levels internally and externally and be accountable for assigned budget allocation.
  • Strong analytic, organizational, leadership and influence skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions.
  • Self-starter who demonstrates energy and enthusiasm, bringing a positive can-do approach to arising challenges.
