Job description

Your mission

The Formulation Development Scientist will be responsible to lead and manage the formulation and process development activities of new products and the reformulation of products already marketed.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Formulation Development activities to ensure the correct advance of the drug development projects.
  • Ensure that formulation development data generated during development are enough for regulatory filings and performing formulation development activities according to the current regulatory guidelines.
  • Write formulation and manufacturing development sections for the regulatory filings.
  • Collaborate with other involved areas, in the activities related to technological transfers to ensure the correct progress.
  • Work closely with the Analytical Development Team on key aspects of the pharmaceutical development.
  • Ensure that Formulation Development activities are conducted in compliance with the internal SOPs, the current GMPs and Health and Safety requirements.
  • Collaborate in the Pilot Plant works and management.
  • Collaborate with other involved areas, in the activities related to technological transfers to ensure the correct progress.
  • Collaborate with Formulation Development procedures and systems.

 

Requirements

Background and experience:

  • MS/PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent.
  • At least, 5 years of experience in formulation development activities, from preformulation work to technological transfer activities.
  • Background in formulation and process development.
  • Working understanding of GMP and regulatory guidelines applicable to the products development.
  • Experience with EMA and other regulatory Agencies in regulatory filings.
  • Scientific experience and knowledge of different pharmaceutical dosage forms.

 

Skills and competencies:

  • Ability to manage projects.
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Able to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changes.
  • Highly motivated, creative and curious scientist interested in implementing and explore new technologies.
  • Fluent English.
