Job Description Summary

This position is looking for a hands-on leader to provide oversight of the People Department for the Ferrer US organization consisting of over 65 employees.

This position will provide expertise and guidance in culture and change management, coaching, talent assessment and development, succession planning, and performance management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and expertise in culture, change and People processes, including talent management and pipeline development, driving organizational change, coaching, and facilitating team performance
  • Partner with the People Department in Corporate Headquarters in areas of organizational talent & strategy, compensation & benefits, learning strategies, & communications
  • Provide leadership and guidance in recruiting, selection, as well as restructuring and succession planning as needed
  • Partner with managers for long-term and short-term People strategies that support business objectives
  • Under the Ferrer organization philosophy, embed a contemporary culture, leveraging change acceleration techniques when needed
  • Act as an organizational coach, championing simplification, building organizational capabilities and maximizing team performance
  • Provide timely, effective and direct coaching to leaders and managers, fostering strong, contemporary leadership skills that align with the Ferrer strategic pillars
  • Facilitate culture and communications throughout the organization; ensuring successful change implementation as needed
  • Manage equitable rewards and recognition programs aligned with the organization’s goals
  • Provide advice and support for benefits, training, compliance programs, People systems, CSR
  • Act as an impartial advocate for fair and equitable treatment of all personnel

  • Strategic mindset with strong business acumen for connecting dots and driving the People agenda with proactive thought leadership
  • Demonstrated experience in making sound strategic People decisions & assessing leadership talent
  • Ability to effectively interface and influence business and operations leaders
  • Demonstrated success managing projects and/or implementing process improvement initiatives
  • Strong presence, seen as influential & respected by leadership
  • Ability to engage your audience and craft clear and engaging messaging
  • Ability to work in changing environments, see through complexity and strategically promote an inclusive/diverse workforce
  • Confidence to voice opinions & ideas and willingness to deliver tough feedback/coaching to leadership
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; making judgments based on practice or previous experience
  • Excellent collaboration, project management, organizational and change agent skills
  • Ability to energize personnel in a complex, matrix, goal-driven organization
  • Trusts & empowers the People team

Education and experience

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources (MHR, MILR, MBA) accredited university or college
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in a variety of Human Resources positions
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resource leadership role

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Potentially prolonged periods standing
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • Must be willing to travel frequently

Compensation

The annual base salary for this role starts at $250,000. Individual title and pay may vary based on additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Our compensation package also includes diverse health benefits, an LTI plan, and an annual target bonus for full-time positions.
