RESPONSIBILITIES and/or basic duties

 

  • Through long term analysis of the market, build Pricing &Reimbursement (P&R) strategies that will ensure competitive positioning of Ferrer´s drugs vs. comparators, throughout their whole lifecycle.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, define priorities for Market Access. Create a strategic dialogue on health P&R systems through Ferrer or directly with P&R stakeholders,
  • Development and adaptation of the Global Value Dossier to an application file for Pricing &Reimbursement and submit and lead negotiations, in order to reach a fair price and reimbursement.
  • Development and adaptation of health economic models, cost and outcomes studies.
  • Collaborate closely with affiliates/partners during all steps of the file development and price/reimbursement process.
  • Interactions with price and reimbursement authorities and payers at different levels (i.e. national, regional, hospital).
  • Create and maintain a strategic Global Market Access Plan.
  • Collaborate closely with local and international colleagues from Marketing, Medical, Regulatory in the Global Brand plan, to ensure alignment on market access strategies, coordinate local actions and ensure the collection and analysis of useful observational or market research data.
  • The Market Access and Health Economics manager drives strategic direction, in close collaboration with critical key functions, to support product launch and its performance while monitoring progress against targets and efficiently managing the budget assigned
  • Benchmark, share best practices and interact efficiently with colleagues/partners from other countries, the region or headquarters.
  • He/She takes an active role in analyzing business development opportunities including relevant aspects, like competitive environment and current and future disease scenarios, to provide adequate information for senior management decisions
  • The Market Access and Health Economics manager contributes to the front-end innovation where his/her specific disease knowledge helps to bring business ideas to market
  • The Market Access and Health Economics manager is responsible to ensure activities planned and carried out by the Brand Team are in compliance to all relevant Ferrer policies and SOPs, as well as any relevant regulations at Global/ Local level

  • Good market access network with a good insight of the market access environment and key customers, strong interest in health policies and the healthcare system in general
  • Proven ethical team player with ability to navigate cross-functionally
  • Ability to build strong credibility with affiliates, joint ventures and partners, to effectively interact with them, providing direction, challenge and support whenever relevant

 Academic education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in life sciences, economics or related discipline
  • Postgraduate degree in health economics highly valued

 Specific training:

  • Training in health economic modelling
  • Knowledge of biostatistics

 Languages:

  • Excellent written and oral English and Spanish communication skills
  • Preferably knowledge of a third foreign language

 Other:

  • Specific disease knowledge and previous people management experience is strongly recommended
  • International experience is positively valued
